Email campaign for G150 Avoid a Gulfstrem G150 flap / slat actuator freeze-up with the Peregrine STC. Based on the response to the Peregrine Gulfstream G150 STC campaign, Peregrine is pleased to announce a temporary price reduction for the flap / slat actuator heater STC. This STC prevents unexpected freeze-up of the flap and slat actuator systems. When this occurs, the high lift surface will not deploy causing a potential disruption to the normal approach and landing; potentially causing a diversion to a more suitable runway. For orders placed before October 31, 2022, Peregrine is offering a 5% discount for the STC and installation hardware. Christophe Maskell Managing Director - Wichita Aerospace Our Premier I & IA LED STC will replace the entire pair of wingtip light clusters including Navigation, Recognition, and Strobes. A dual function LED replaces the original lens and housing in the tail cone. The Wichita Aerospace solution also removes all three problematic power supplies to ensure maximum reliability. Wichita Aerospace is preparing to install our new LED Lighting Kit on the Beechcraft Premier. Our installation will completely replace the wingtip lights and structure inside the clear lenses. Tail cone lights will also be replaced w/new structure and LED units. Problematic power supplies, strobes, and incandescent bulbs will be eliminated. Pricing will be finalized once certification is complete. The existing Devore lights installed on the left and right wingtip, and aft tail cone will be replaced with Whelen Aerospace Technologies (WAT) lights. The Devore lights, designed in the 1990’s, used older flash tube or incandescent bulbs, were inefficient, and required external components to function. Additionally, the original lights are no longer available from the manufacturer. WAT has designed replacement lights that require no external components and use newer technology LEDs. Installation of the WAT replacement lights will result in a significant reduction in equipment weight, electrical bus loading, and maintenance costs for the airplane owner/operator. The STC installation kit includes the new Whelen lighting assemblies mounted to new sheet metal brackets and a pre-wired harness The DeVore wing and tail strobe lights require an external power supply to function properly. These components are not required for the WAT lights and will be removed. The wingtip strobe power supplies are mounted on access panels on the underside of the wingtip assemblies as shown above in Figure 1. These power supplies will be removed and replaced with sheet metal plates holding terminal rails to support new system wiring. The tail strobe light power supply is installed on an equipment shelf below the rudder support structure, inside the tailcone as shown in the figure below. This strobe power supply will be removed, with no new equipment installed in its place.
